Max

Collin and I found out we were pregnant November 15, 2011.

We found out we were having a boy on February 4, 2012.

The Friday and Saturday before his birth, was just a waiting game. We really didn't do anything...but Saturday mom and I took Annabelle and Gracie to the mall and I pushed them around in our awesome new stroller :)

Saturday night, all 3 of us were in a bad mood {I think we were sick of waiting…ha!}. We ended up eating Mexican, walking around Walmart, and taking a bumpy road home. Annabelle loved the bumpy road because we saw tons of animals :)

Our bad moods continued at home, because Annabelle wanted to stay up and watch the Olympics.

After she finally got into bed, I took a shower and when I got out and fell asleep on the couch. I woke up aroind 11:30 with a puddle of water under me and was unsure if it was actually my water that broke. We quickly cleaned up the mess, got ready to go, and threw our bags and Annabelle in the car. Carson and Laurice met us at the hospital to get Annabelle. I went in to get registered, and was immediately taken to a room by 12:00. I was informed that my water was in fact broken and we wouldn't be leaving without our Max!

My contractions were getting pretty strong, and I had to get at least 2 rounds of antibiotics before Max could come out. At 6 they started my epidural and pitocin. By 10:30 I was a 10! I probably started pushing a little after 11, and because Max was face up...it took a little longer to push him out. He was born at 12:19 pm. Our sweet boy came out hardly making a wimper. He was placed directly on my chest and snuggled right under my chin :) He weighed 10 pounds, 3 ounces and was 21.25 inches long {Annabelle was 9 pounds 10ounces and 21.5 inches long}.
Once they cleanes him up a bit, he was brought to me to nurse.
We brought Annabelle in to meet her brother :) She was so sweet and wanted to hug and kiss 1,000 times! After we had family and prayer time, we brought in the grandparents...then everyone else.
Everyone left around 2, and Collin went to get us some lunch....and by 3:30 we were on our postpartum room. We had visitors that night, and moved introducing Max to our loved ones :)
Monday was full of check ups and we got the most amazing news from my midwife...we were going home at lunch time!! We were so excited! Collin quickly went to pick up Annabelle's stuff and picked her up so we could come home as a family of 4! It was so special to me. We had a relaxing afternoon, then our families came over that night.
