22 Weeks (End of the 5th month!)

Papaya Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop. - The Bump.

Nothing to exciting happening. We got Anna Belle's room cleaned out...well, for the most part. There's still some stuff in there. This weekend is our BIG Anniversary Weekend. I'm SO excited! Mom brought over our cake topper yesterday...I'm excited to eat it! Enjoy the latest Belly Picture, and a bonus!

Our little....

SWEET POTATO! Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon. -The Bump.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is DEFINITELY a baby in my tummy! I feel her all the time! She rolls, punches, and kicks most of the day. At least she is contained in my belly! I can't wait to see what she will be like when she's crawling and walking.

These past couple of mornings I have been feeling a little under the weather. This morning I think was the worst. I was on the bus and I thought I was going to be sick, luckily I didn't and luckily the driver had the cool air on and I had some really cold water.

Whitney has offered to throw me a Baby Shower! YAY! I'm so excited. We decided that it would happen about the middle of January.

Collin and I are starting our birthing classes soon. I plan on taking many of them, including Infant CPR.

Other than that...life is getting to be normal again. Just getting the house the way I want it.

Week 17

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints. -The Bump.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are in the house! Almost everything is organized...just a few more things we have to find places for. I love it! Last night I cooked our dinner (in a VERY long time!), and ate for the first time in our new kitchen! Everything is really coming together! Today our TV and Internet are getting hooked up! And my slips covers should be coming in any day now! I'll post some pictures when everything is the way I want it.

Anna Belle has been moving A LOT lately! I love feeling her. Collin was able to feel her this past Sunday. She was knotted up on the side of my tummy. Crazy girl! Hopefully soon we'll get started on her nursery! I want to paint the wall her crib is going on the brown color in her bedding, and the other 3 walls the creamy pink. We are going to get her vintage white furniture. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Week 16 and Moving!

Anna Belle is the size of an

AvocadoWatch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender. -The Bump.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This weekend has been pretty eventful! Saturday we attended Melissa and Calvin's wedding. Before, I had the privilege of helping her and her girls get ready! It was a lot of fun! While I was with the girls, Collin and a friend were painting. They got one coat in the living room finished and tonight they will put the last coat on and then the painting will be finished! We'll clean over there tomorrow and then start moving in THURSDAY! Last night, while laying in bed about to go to sleep, I felt Anna Belle move! I thought I had felt her a week ago, but I definitely felt her last night! It felt like bubbles popping in my tummy. What an amazing feeling!

Here is the latest Belly Picture!

Week 15

Welcome Orange! Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now out measure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements. - The Bump.

Just a little update:
We got pocession of the house Saturday! Since then, we've hit the ground running! We purchased new door knobs for the house, Collin has started painting the kitchen, and I should be packing stuff, but the past couple of days I've been BLAH! I am planning on starting tonight...after my LONG AWAITED hair appointment! We should be moved in next week!

14 Weeks!

Our Little LemonYour adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

Well, I am feeling like my old self again! With the exception of my growing belly! I feel GREAT, not sick, not tired, and energized!

Today Collin and I are closing on on HOUSE! We are SO excited!

New House!

Collin and I are closing on the new house AUGUST 25th!!! We are so excited! We are going tonight to look at some paint colors for the kitchen and get ideas for the nursery! Although we are closing in less than 2 weeks, we will not be moving in until the middle of September. Our lease doesn't go up till the end of September, which is a good thing, because I will have somewhere to stay while Collin is painting and we don't have to rush getting out.

Here our pictures of our 1ST HOME!

Appointment: August 4, 2008

We had another doctor's appointment yesterday. It was such a good appointment! We saw Dr. Helton and he was so nice! He came in asked me how I was feeling and told us that he was gonna try to find the heartbeat on the Doppler. He told us not to worry if he couldn't find, as I am only 11 weeks along. He put the microphone on my belly and not one second later we were listening to our baby's heartbeat. What an AMAZING sound! Collin and I could not believe that we were listening to our sweet baby's heart beat. Dr. Helton said it was beating 157-158 BPM, and that everything sounded GREAT! I go back September 3 for my 16 week check up. Then on September 4th, Collin and I are going to Baby Vision in Sandy Springs to have a 3D ultrasound, where we find out if were having a boy or girl!

Other than that, we are doing GREAT! We are closing on our house August 25th!!!

House Hunting

Well, the house that I thought was perfect ended up not being so perfect. Collin and I decided that it would not be a good investment to purchase that house.

Well, last night we started over. We looked at about 10 houses and we narrowed it down to 3 that both Collin and I love! We plan on going back out to just look at those houses so they are fresh on our minds. And today we got the best news YET! As first time home buyers, we do not have to put a down payment on the house! Seeing that Collin and I we VERY unprepared to buy a house so soon, we hadn't saved enough money. The news was an answer to our prayers! I was so stressed out trying to think of where we were gonna get the money, but now we could possibly move in without putting down a dime!

Hopefully soon I will be posting that we are home OWNERS!

Olive, or Sting (get it...Sting Ray) as we like to call the baby, is doing good...just making me SICK! I had my first experience with REAL morning sickness yesterday. I'll spare you the details. I'm anxious to go to the doctor August 4th to hear the heartbeat!

Raspberry?

Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy. - The Bump

So...I have a raspberry with a beating heart in my tummy! Still...it's weird to think that one day we will be caring for this little one. I can't wait!!!
Collin and I have been house hunting this past week, and just 1 week later I think we have found the perfect house! It's in Temple, GA, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, Great room, 2 car garage, back yard with a deck, and to top it off...our payments will be less than what we pay for rent! What a blessing! We are pretty excited! I had an uneasy feeling looking at houses this past week, but when we walked in that house, I felt home. So now, we make an offer.
Everything worked out perfect, because when we found out we were pregnant we decided a house would be a good investment and, even better, our lease goes up at the end of August! So if we start closing on this house soon, then we can get in it by the end of August!
