Annabelle Funnies

• Annabelle has been in a big girl bed for 2 weeks now. She does very well, with the exception of some nights. Last night was an exception. She was fine for awhile {singing, counting, clapping}, but around 9:00 {she got in bed at 8:00} I heard a knocking :) She was at her door, knocking and saying "Knock, Knock! I'm awake!". She also did this during her nap this past Sunday.
• Every Friday, the lady that works the front desk at Annabelle's school has candy for the kids. Annabelle picked out Smarties {or Farties :)}. Collin was teasing her all the way home about wanting some, and Annabelle kept saying "No daddy!". When extended his hand for some, Annabelle said "Daddy! What did I say?!"
• Every night after dinner, we head out for a walk around the neighborhood. This is my favorite time! But getting out of the house if a challenge. After telling Annabelle a couple of times to get her shoes she said "Ok mommy! I just love you!"

What Annabelle did/said today!

Annabelle has been a NUT today! I wanted tor remember/share these :)

1. This morning, Collin was walking out the door and Annabelle saw that he forgot his sunglasses. She cried out "WAIT DADDY!" grabbed them up and ran them to him.
2. She was looking the picture below and said "Aww Wee...cute"
3. She has been talking my ear off today! "Daddy at Work" "Pappy at Work" "Bud Bud nite nite"
4. She has a Bible and wanted me to read the poems to her and we sand "Jesus Loves Me" more than 10 times...wish these moments would last forever!
5. Last night, after looking at pictures of Gracie, she gave her new cousin her paci. She has been without one ever since. She has asked for it multiple times, but I redirect her...I act like her baby is crying and we console her baby :)
6. I have been doing work from home yesterday and today (and tomorrow...GET ME OUT OF THIS HOUSE!), and we have been fighting over the chair that I sit in. If I get up, she gets in it and says "My chair, Mom Me"
7. I was vacuuming the living room, and Annabelle ran to her room to grab her vacuum to "help" me :)
8. Hearing "Wuv ou Mom Me" melts my heart...every time!
9. And kisses...kisses melt my heart...I've gotten many of those today :)

What Annabelle did today!

This morning, I was yelling for Collin....and sometimes I call him Col, I'm lazy :) So I was yelling "COL!", after 2 times of yelling that I yelled "COLLIN!". Finally I found him and all was right in the world.

After Collin left to go to work, Annabelle was walking around the house yelling "COL! COL-LIN! DA-DE!".

What Annabelle did today!

We had a very busy weekend...and I think tonight it caught up with us! We were so tired. At 7:30 Annabelle laid down on the floor and said "Night, Night Mommy". She never does this...usually she goes to bed at 8! I said ok, go give Daddy Night Night lovins...she did, and I scooped her up and off to bed she went.

Last night, our power went...actually, every house in our neighborhood didn't have power for about an hour.
Thank goodness we were almost done eating dinner. As soon as the power went out, Annabelle said "Uh Oh", like she knew that the power going out wasn't a good thing. I couldn't help but giggle :)

This morning, while getting ready to walk out the door for church, I asked (jokingly) Annabelle to put on her shoes...and this is what she did:

Another Story: That cute little dress above, ties at the shoulders.

When I picked Annabelle up from nursery, I was told that she kept un-tying her dress! I guess from now on I need to remember to knot those suckers :)

What Annabelle did today!

Well, What Annabelle did sometime this weekend...I can't really remember, but I needed to journal it :)

We have been really working with Annabelle about cleaning up her toys, putting her clothes in her dirty basket, and throwing trash/dirty diapers away. For the most part, she has really gotten it. One night after bath, I asked Annabelle to put her clothes in the basket. She takes her clothes, runs into her room, and comes back out emptied handed. We cheer and clap, because she was a "Big Girl!". The next day, I went into her room to get a diaper, and notice that there are clothes in her diaper pail (which is right next to her dirty clothes basket). It was the clothes I asked her to put in her basket!

I guess she didn't like that outfit and wanted to get rid of it!

Tonight while cooking dinner, Collin pinched my booty (I know, TMI...but this makes the story!).
Not a second later, I feel another pinch and I turn around and Annabelle is behind me smiling ear to ear, giggling.

What Annabelle did today!

Tonight, at smallgroup, we had brownies for dessert. Annabelle LOVES brownies, really she likes anything sweet. So after eating some of my brownie, she went to her Aunt Reese for some of hers, then to Collin for some of his. After, Collin's brownie was gone, she scanned the room for someone else with a brownie. She saw Pam had one, and walked over to her, kissed her on the cheek, and pointed to her brownie.

What Annabelle did today!

We were playing before Annabelle's bedtime tonight. She was doing her own thing and I was checking up on my blogs. All of a sudden, she gets up, walks over to me, points to my eye and says "Eye".
We haven't even been working on body parts! She must have picked it up from school...or she's just a genius :)
Either way, she totally caught us off guard, and we were rolling!

What Annabelle did today!

Today when I dropped Annabelle off at school, she had a "substitute teacher", her normal teacher, Miss Leah, was out on vacation. Annabelle clung to my leg and did not want to let go! Her friend, Kiley, was in there and she came up to Annabelle and hugged her, and I said "Look Annabelle, there's Kiley!". Annabelle let go with one arm and quickly waved in Kiley's face, and quickly clung back to leg.
I know it may seem so silly, but I thought it was cute!

What Annabelle did today!

We were eating lunch at O' Charley's and Annabelle was in a great mood! Her morning nap was 2 hours!...and she was eating (she is always happy when food is involved!). She was talking to everyone that passed by, and started to get a little rowdy. I told her" Annabelle, Shhh!", and no lie...the girl turned around, put her finger to her lips, and said "Shhh!". Collin and I were rolling!

What Annabelle did today!

Back story: When I was younger, my parents bought me a dachshund, Buddy. He is the sweetest dog! When I got married, Collin and I moved into an apartment and I was unable to bring Buddy with me, so he stayed with my parents. And when we moved into our house, we thought about bringing him to live with us, but decided not, because we were pregnant and taking care of a baby would leave no time for Buddy.
Note: We call Buddy "Bud Bud".

So, we're dog sitting for my parents this weekend. We did it a couple of weeks ago, for a week. Annabelle was if-y about Buddy last time, but this time if totally different! She go so excited to see him yesterday!

Well, this morning Annabelle went up to Buddy, leaned over and said "Bud Bud, Aw Weeee!" and petted him! It was so cute!

I'm going to declare that "Bud Bud" is her first word(s)! It's the first time she said something an associated the word with an object/action/feeling! Sure, she USED to say "Mama", "Dada", and "Daddeee", but never associated us with the words. And now, she doesn't even say those words anymore :(

What Annabelle did today!

I'm going to start blogging about the cute things Annabelle does/says. I always want to remember these things!

Today, I put Annabelle in a really cute dress. Nothing fancy, just a comfy cotton dress.
At school, Annabelle has a friend, Amelia, she's about 7 months. Her mom is also one of Annabelle's teachers.

So this morning, we walk into her classroom, and Amelia's mom says "Aww, they have on the same dress!", referring to Amelia. I walked over to them and told Annabelle, "Look, you and Amelia have on the same dress!". Annabelle looked at me, then pointed to Amelia, then pointed to herself, and back to Amelia and smiled big, then smacked her head (that's something she does and thinks it's funny).
It was so cute! She is really starting to understand what we are saying!
