2 Months!

Where does the time go?!?! Annabelle is getting SO BIG! I estimate her to weigh a hefty 13 pounds right now...the girl loves to eat! This past month has been very busy and a huge transition! Annabelle took her first (of many!) trips to Jacksonville to visit Great Granddad and Great Grandma Waddington. There she got to meet her Great Uncle Mike and Great Aunt Kathy. She did so good in the car, almost sleeping the whole time! Also, this month I started back to work. Annabelle does so good at the sitters house. Collin does the drop off and pick up. It's still hard for me, because I want to be the one to take care of her during the day, but it's getting better.

This month Annabelle has learned/tried new things:

  • She smiles A LOT! Real smiles, not gassy smiles :)
  • She has learned to "talk". She "coos" at everything!
  • She has learned to sleep (almost) all night! and that Saturdays are for sleeping in! We have figured out that she loves to sleep on her tummy. The doctor's recommend that she sleeps on her back, but Annabelle thinks otherwise and we don't deny her good sleep!
  • She lifts her head up while on her tummy! She is gaining very good head control. She's still a little "Bobble head", but for the most part does very well.
  • She goes into the church nursery on Sundays and does very well!

Friday, April 10th, Annabelle went to see a pediatric orthopedist for her "Hip Displacement". She was such a trooper! She had to get X Rays and was very cooperative. The doctor came in and messed with her legs, and told us he didn't think she had displacement, but wanted to talk is over with his radiologist. The doctor called back the next week and said the she did not have displacement, but her left hip was a little underdeveloped. He wanted us to come back in 6 weeks for another ultrasound on her hip to see if any progress was made. Next Tuesday, she has a check up with her pediatrician and will be getting shots.
