Mother of the Year

We had a great weekend! I mean Amazing! But let me tell you why I am Mother of the Year...not!
  • Friday: Collin had the day off, and him and Annabelle came to Atlanta with intentions of eating lunch with me. When they got to my office, my boss gave me the afternoon off! So in addition to lunch, we also went to the Children's Museum. So much fun! But, do I have pictures to show for it...no! Mother of the Year! I didn't even have the camera...I think Collin has a picture on his phone. We really had a great afternoon! Annabelle loved the market and putting "groceries" in her grocery cart. After we left Atlanta, we headed to the mall for some last minute Easter outfit accessories.
  • Saturday: I had a meeting at my church about our upcoming women's retreat...it's going to be awesome! Collin took Annabelle with him to help our friends, Chris and Kelly, move into their new apartment (they just moved back from San Diego). Collin said Annabelle had the best time playing with Kelly. After my meeting was over and Collin was done moving, we headed to the park for a picnic and some playing. But, do I have pictures to show for it...no! Mother of the Year! I even HAD the camera this time! But in my defense, Annabelle was crabby and, of course, didn't want to swing or slide, or anything else that was fun. So we headed home for a much needed nap. That night we headed to hang out with friends. So much fun!
  • Sunday: Easter Sunday was BEAUTIFUL! Annabelle looked so cute in her dress! But, do I have pictures to show you...no! Do I have a picture of the 3 of us...no! Did Annabelle have an Easter basket filled with Easter goodies...no! Mother of the Year! I know she doesn't need an Easter basket filled with goodies, but I bought her a really cute basket and it sat empty. Easter definitely is not about the Easter bunny or candy or goodies, it's about celebrating what Jesus did for us! And celebrate we did! Church was amazing! We had lunch at our house with lots of good food!
In conclusion, I am not Mother of the Year and my camera must have been on vacation.
The end.

HA!!! Girl, I do that ALL the time too. There are even times we're doing something and thinking I really need to be taking pictures right now, but never get to it. Sometimes having the camera out all the time doesnt make the top of the priority list....I dont even have a picture of me Carson and Weston in the hospital when he was born! woops! oh well. what do ya do?!

p.s. Anna did look adorable in her dress yesterday!
