But had to cancel every single commitment. We had a gathering with our old smallgroup Friday night, we had and appointment with Santa on Saturday, a Christmas Party Sunday night, But had to cancel every single one of them.
Wednesday, Annabelle woke up sick and she told me "Ear Mommy". So I thought she had and ear infection. I made an appointment. As the day went on, she started feeling worse. All she wanted to do was sleep on my chest, and she started running a fever. Finally it was time to go to the doctor. We get called back right away. As soon as we get back to the room, they did a flu test...and I started crying! The doctor came in, and confirmed she had the flu...I broke down! We have been putting off Annabelle's flu shot, not on purpose, but because she was sick every time her appointment came up...I don't know how many times we re-scheduled. Finally, I got one for December 23...but a week before her appointment, she got the flu. AND on top of the flu, she has an ear infection.
While we're in the doctor's office, the temperature is falling and the roads are wet, and ice is starting to form.
We leave the doctor and drive to Publix to get meds and some Popsicles and Gatorade, and Collin was on his way to meet us. When he arrives at Publix, and mentions that he slipped on ice and fell into a ditch. Praise the Lord he was not hurt and his car is fine!
It takes us almost an hour to get home, but Praise Jesus we did!
As for the rest of the weekend...we stayed home. I was kinda glad to go to work today, but super happy that my mom is watching Annabelle this morning, and she'll return to school tomorrow.
