Operation: No Paci

The Beginning:
Wednesday (1/12/11) night, Annabelle and I were looking at pictures of Gracie. Annabelle said "Gracie has Paci!", I told her she did and asked if she would like to give Gracie her paci's. Annabelle did, and didn't ask for it again that night. She went to bed without a fuss.

Day 1: 1/13/11
She woke and didn't even ask for her paci till the afternoon. She even went down for a nap without it.
When she woke up is when she started asking for it, but I would redirect her. Act like her baby was crying and we would console the baby, sing one of her favorite songs, or I would even act like I was crying (she always thinks that's funny).
That night was a different story, she did not want to go to bed without it. But she calmed down enough and I put her in her crib. She did fuss for about 5 minutes, but went to sleep.

Day 2: 1/14/11
Today was a little bit harder, because she really wanted her paci, but we did not give in. We would redirect her. Again, she didn't want to go to sleep without it. She fussed for about 2 minutes, then went to sleep.

She has now gone 48 hours without one, and we are holding our ground!
