Stone Mountain, Shopping & Sunflowers

Once a month we meet with our old smallgroup for First Friday. This is just a chance for us to get together (with or without kiddos) to catch up. I always look forward to our time together!
This past Friday Carson and Laurice planned a family outing to Stone Mountain to see the Laser Show! We haven't been in awhile, and this was Annabelle's first time! We met at Moe's and headed towards the mountain. Funny Story: We had been talking Stone Mountain up to Annabelle the whole way up there. She was getting pretty excited! Well we turned a curve and saw it, and we pointed it out to Annabelle and she said "Oh! Stone Mountain! It's so cute!"
We had the best time! I brought bubbles to keep to kids occupied before the show started. It was a big hit! I was afraid of what Annabelle would think of the show and fireworks...and to my surprise she sat a watched the whole thing! However, she did not like the ending...a bunch of fireworks going off.
before we left...with her new monkey cup :)
We slept in Saturday, since we stayed out late the night before. I was on a mission to find some Navy Leggings and new tennis shoes...so off to Douglasville we went. Annabelle was a typical 2 year old...hiding in the clothes and running off in the opposite direction. I found my leggings, but no luck in the shoe department.
Annabelle fell asleep on the way home, and we stopped by Carson and Laurice's to check out their Yard Sale. By the time we got home, Annabelle was awake from her hour nap. I tried to get her to lay down, but no such luck. So we enjoyed being outside:

Eating Fudgesicles,
Helping Daddy wash his bike, and
Playing with the water hose!
We grilled out and watched Toy Story 3, and the had Sonic for dessert :)

Waiting for our Ice Cream

Sunday, after services we had a church wide cookout...hot dogs, desserts, and baptisms.
After Annabelle got up from her nap, we picked Desi up and headed to do a mini photoshoot in a sunflower field! Annabelle loved them for about 5 mintues, but was done after that. I can't wait to see what Desi got!
